CEGEP – Full Season – 2023-2024

This season, Neutral Zone launched an effort to cover the CEGEP league in Quebec. Scouts saw CEGEP players live while attending various tournaments throughout the season such as Stoney Creek and US/CAN Cup. To support those in-person viewings, scouts spent countless hours watching league play virtually to complete the following comprehensive scouting report.

Limoilou Cegep

Rosalie Breton #16 (Limoilou, D, 2026) : Rosalie has good size and is a strong skater, she handles the puck well and makes easy to handle passes. She can rush the puck out of trouble. She has good vision in the O-zone. Breton controls and handles the puck with poise and precision dancing around defenders, creating space, and then delivering those crisp, tape-to-tape passes. She drops in as an option on the attack, receiving the pass, and then lightning-quick, the puck is off her stick to set up another teammate. When she hits the ice, you can not help but notice her smooth skating and powerful strides. She gets good inside-body positioning. Pinching successfully, she wins pucks and does not hesitate to make accurate passes. She sees the ice well and has the hands to easily maneuver through traffic or around opponents. She is patient and pinches with aggression and keeps the puck in the ozone. She finds open lanes and jumps into the plays for a pass to generate offensive opportunities. She moves the puck smoothly back and forth with her partner at the offensive blue line. She puts her first pass on the tape to start the breakout, and hits the stretch to move the play up ice quickly. Drops in as an option on the attack and pinches successfully. She battles in the corners and below the red line in the defensive zone. She quarterbacks the powerplay from the top as she controls and handles the puck with poise and finesse to make accurate passes, even when under pressure. Her effectiveness on the ice is marked by a patient and composed approach in one-on-one situations, showcasing her defensive prowess. Leveraging her speed, she exhibits a dynamic style of play. Breton disrupts opposing plays by stealing pucks and using her active stick to block shots. Grade: A- 

Eloise Caron #19 (Limoilou, F, 2024) : Caron is a playmaker with a keen eye for the play. She smoothly delivers passes right on the tape to set up her teammates for goals. She has this effortless glide on the ice, a smooth skater with a powerful stride that helps her maneuver through the opposition. The forward sees the whole rink like it is a chessboard, always finding open spaces to receive passes and set up her teammates for scoring chances. Her poise and precision, is brought to her puck control to allow her to weave and dance through traffic with ease. Her slap shot is a cannon, delivered low and fast to challenge goalies. Caron is smart with great IQ to anticipate the play in front of her. Grade: A- 

Julianne Labbe #17 (Limoilou, F, 2025) : Labbé has good touch around the net. She puts passes on the tape to set up chances and battles in close to bury. The forward found Cossette alone in front with a smooth pass that Cossette buried with a one-timer. Her soft hands cradle passes for a quick catch and release. Labbé received a pass in the slot to snap top glove and light the lamp. The forward battles in front of the net and finds loose pucks. Labbé can jam it home around the net as well. Grade: B+

Catherine Fournier #18 (Limoilou, F, 2025) : Catherine has size and quickness. She battles hard on the boards. She can handle the puck well and get in position to make smart passes off the boards moving up ice. Fournier gained space in front of the net to bang home a rebound on the powerplay. She is a good skater who also works hard and competes, winning puck battles for possession. Grade: B+ 

Alexia Cote #20 (Limoilou, D, 2024) : Alexia is a good skater with speed who handles the puck well and likes to jump into the play in the O-zone. She will get below the red line in the O-zone and make good passes. She will drive the net from the side boards. Cote corralled the puck off a broken play to cut across the slot and send a well-placed wrist shot past the goalie to light the lamp. She finds open lanes to jump in and make herself an option. Grade: B+

Sandrine Chouinard #11 (Limoilou, F, 2026) : Chouinard is a smooth skater who plays physically. She forechecks aggressively on the PK and forces errors against the opponent. Chouinard steps up when called upon to take the draw on the PK and wins faceoffs cleanly. Heavy one timer in OT vs Atlantic for game winning game. Chouinard had success in the faceoff circle in the championship game, winning a high proportion of draws cleanly to start the play with possession. She got in on the forecheck to force errors and disrupt the D. Grade: B 

Marie-Pier Cossette #14 (Limoilou, D, 2026) : Cossette cradles passes smoothly and gets the puck off her stick quickly. She was alone in front and received a pass to fire a one-timer by the tendy to tickle the twine. Cossette is not flashy, but she is reliable at making simple plays. She moves the puck up ice quickly and efficiently, making good passes. She has a great shot and gets them on net to generate offensive opportunities for her team. She plays the body on the rush and forces opponents to the outside. Cossette grinds and battles around the net. She drove the net hard through traffic to receive a pass for a shot on goal. Cossette got on the scoresheet with a nifty tip to find the back of the net versus Alberta. Against Saskatchewan, Cossette worked hard in both ends of the rink, battling on the forecheck and using her active stick to force turnovers on the backcheck. Grade: B 

Emmie Carbonneau #24 (Limoilou, D, 2026) : Carbonneau jumps up as an option on the rush and gets back quickly to defend. She gets pucks through traffic and to the net from the point with a hard wrist shot or a quick snapshot. Carbonneau made accurate passes against Saskatchewan, hitting the winger with a smooth first pass while under pressure, sliding the puck back and forth smoothly with her partner, and finding the open winger with a lead pass to enter the zone. Grade: B 

Alexandra Giguere #32 (Limoilou, F, 2024) : Giguere stayed on the puck to deke the defender and gain the high slot to rip a wrister top blocker to light the lamp. Her hands around the net and in tight spaces allowed her to make bigtime plays for her team. Grade: B 

Laurie Vezina #29 (Limoilou, F, 2026) : Vezina had success on the draw, pulling pucks back cleanly to start the play with possession. Her passes are accurate and she showed moments of good defensive positioning in coverage, and support. Grade: B-

Andre-Laurendeau

Doryane Halle #19 (Andre-Laurendeau, F, 2025) : Hallé is a feisty forward with good size who plays physically. She is strong on the draw in even strength and man-advantage situations. Grade: B 

Megane St-Onge #20 (Andre-Laurendeau, F, 2025) : St-Onge can anticipate plays and is quick to react, pouncing on loose pucks and applying good pressure. She has a high motor and has an act to do the little things and do them well. Grade: B 

Katriana Metayer #24 (Andre-Laurendeau, D, 2025) : Metayer uses her size to her advantage in her physical play with strategically successful pins in the D-zone. She is able to clear bodies in front of the net and is aggressive on forwards coming out around the net. Grade: B 

Adelie Lavallee #13 (Andre-Laurendeau, F/D, 2026) : Lavallée plays physically, pinches successfully and does a good job taking the body. Lavallee is aggressive, using an active stick on the forecheck. She backchecks hard and is good on support in the D zone. She also showcases decent hands and can make moves against opponents in tight spaces. Grade: B 

Alicia Choiniere #35 (Andre-Laurendeau, G, 2026) : Choinière comes out of her net to stop pucks. She can move the puck up ice quick to start the transition and make good tape to tape passes. Grade: B-

Audrey Clavette #2 (Andre-Laurendeau, F, 2024) : Clavette makes heads up plays. She is a confident skater who moves the puck up ice to open players. She is good in transition and wants to be in the attacking zone. Grade: B-

Marianne Brault #11 (Andre-Laurendeau, D, 2026) : Marianne is quick and can carry the puck, and make good on the mark passes. In the O-zone she pushes the blue line down to keep pressure in the zone. She sees the ice well and can anticipate plays, making smart passes to teammates and finding open shooting lanes to get great shots on net for scoring chances. She can anticipate the play and makes smart pinches to keep the play in the ozone. Grade: B- 

Camille Lavergne #14 (Andre-Laurendeau, F, 2026) : Lavergne gets in on the forecheck to use her long reach and active stick to force errors that lead to turnovers. She uses her size effectively to carry the puck out of the zone and past center for deep dump-ins. She is strong on the PK, and wins faceoffs. Lavergne is quick and has size, using her body to protect the puck and drive wide to keep puck possession. Using good body position, she puts herself between the puck and the player in battles to keep added possession. She is great on the forecheck, anticipating plays and forcing opponents to do what she wants them to, taking away options with a good active stick. Grade: B- 

Elodie Boutin #16 (Andre-Laurendeau, F, 2025) : Elodie is a strong quick skater who handles the puck well and beat the D to the outside. She can change directions quickly and will take the puck to the middle of the ice. Boutin is quick and has skill, she uses her speed to easily drive wide around defenders. She also plays hard on the boards. Grade: B-

John Abbott College

Sienna D’Alessandro #14 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025, Minnesota) : Sienna is a strong quick skater who handles the puck well. She goes to the net with speed and has a quick release when shooting in the slot. She is an effective penalty killer with her size and speed. Tough, drives hard down the wing. Solid on the blue line during the powerplay, threading backdoor passes. She drives the net with a hard and accurate shot, scoring on the net drive. Scored a snipe from the goal line under the bar. Her presence in front of the net makes her a dominant scoring threat, as she excels in winning battles, deflecting shots, and capitalizing on rebounds with precision. Her ability to control the puck and make crisp, accurate passes adds another dimension to her offensive game, allowing her to set up teammates and create scoring opportunities. Her physicality and tenacity in the corners contribute to her overall effectiveness on the ice, as she battles hard to win puck battles and maintain possession for her team. Her speed is demonstrated by her ability to be the first to the puck and nullify potential icing calls. With a quick release, she is capable of unleashing rapid and accurate shots, particularly her hard wrist shot from the high slot. This skill allows her to create numerous scoring chances and challenge opposing goaltenders. Her intelligent decision-making on the powerplay from the top keeps the puck away from the opposition and creates chances. The team captain worked well on her off wing on the power play, circling up high to catch passes in motion and then rips shots in stride. She continuously showed good situational assessment at a high pace and made quality decisions in all three zones. She creates time and space with her skating and reach and showed a shooters mentality. Grade: A

Jade Barbirati #17 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025, UVM) : Barbirati has a soft offensive touch to dish to the best option. She has a keen eye for the net with an excellent finish. Finds holes goalies give and exposes them in a flash. She has a high level of hockey IQ and is a true goal scorer. Barbirati thrives around the net. Her net drive with the puck is tough for defenders to handle. She makes crisp passing to create great scoring opportunities. She scored a beautiful back door one timer goal and had another great look on a breakaway, making a nice dangle move and forcing the tender to come up big. Grade: A 

Manon Le Scodan #21 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Manon is a real good skater with good speed. She reads the ice real well and can break up plays in the NZ. She can handle the puck and will drive to the net. She has soft hands around the crease where popped one in on a goalmouth scramble. She can also find open ice and maneuver through traffic. Grade: A 

Clara-Mai Van Houtte-Cachero #97 (John Abbott College Islanders, D, 2026) : She has size and power, allowing her to protect and join the rush. Great at offensive blue line to be an option or drive it into the zone to set up a play. Van Houtte Cachero is fast and plays a physical game. She controls the gap well and takes away space on the rush. Offensively she has a solid point wrister. Van Houtte Cachero demonstrated smart offensive and defensive skills against Alberta. Defensively, her size and long reach provide her with a strong defensive presence and the capability to disrupt opponents. She recovered quickly after a misplay to take the body and regain possession, ensuring minimal damage from errors. Van Houtte-Cachero did a good job getting in the shooting lanes to block shots. She uses her active stick and long reach to push plays to the boards and force shots wide, effectively limiting the chances of scoring opportunities. Offensively, she gets pucks to the net with a hard wrist shot and a rocket snapshot to create scoring chances. On one of her two primary assists, she stepped around the check to fire a wrist shot on goal to set up the powerplay marker. On the powerplay, she holds the blue line and gets pucks deep, ensuring sustained offensive pressure. Van Houtte-Cachero displayed her playmaking ability by jumping up in the neutral zone, gaining the attacking end, and sending smooth passes to her teammates, creating scoring opportunities. Grade: A 

Naomi Forand #7 (John Abbott College Islanders, D, 2025) : Forand is a quick physical player, who follows up plays up ice. She can skate the puck out trouble if necessary. She is a strong penalty killer. She has a hard shot from the point, and will shoot whenever she has the chance. Not a huge player but she plays a big game. High-end vision from the point. Made one beautiful pass to #22 on the back door for their 6th goal vs Washington. Forand has puck control and agility to evade attackers, maintain puck control and start the attack. She has a solid point shot that she gets on target. Grade: B+ 

Megane Larrivee #5 (John Abbott College Islanders, D, 2024) : Larrivee makes good decisions on the offensive blue line to hold the line and keep the attack alive. She controls the gap well and stands players up 1v1 on the attack. Grade: B

Anaelle Gagne #31 (John Abbott College Islanders, G, 2025) : Great size, fills a ton of holes and is aggressive to pucks. Not tested a ton vs Washington, but tracks well and comes up big when there is a chance on net. Gagne is a quick tender who holds her ground and takes away the top of the net. She has a tight butterfly and sticks with pucks, making some sprawling saves. Grade: B 

Mahely Charbonneau #88 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Smaller and quick, she finds space back and wheels out of battles. Can look to bring those rushes inside the dots. Good hands, brings big energy into her battles, winning most. Her quick skating helps her breakdown plays as equally as getting the puck up ice, and establishing systems in zone by being patient with the puck. Grade: B 

Kaitlyn Fortier #22 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Fortier gets in on the forecheck to battle hard in the corners. She uses her speed to drive hard to the net and stay focused on the puck. Fortier is relentless of the forecheck, pressuring aggressively and forcing turnovers, using her body to drive hard to the net and generate offensive opportunities. Grade: B

Daphnee Gagnon #2 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Walks off the wall well, and is able to hit difficult passes up the ice. In the O-zone vs east coast she sent the puck back to the defense to begin regrouping after not having options. Is not in a rush to move the play up, focuses on efficiency. Grade: B- 

Valerie Lamoureux #6 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Lamoureux battles well on the boards, pinning players out to gain possession and allow reinforcements to get to the puck. She also communicates very well with her teammates. Grade: B- 

Juliana Pirollo #10 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Pirollo earns a good net front presence to deflect shots from the point for chances. She uses her edges and fearlessness to also screen the goalie and stay her ground. Grade: B-

Gabrielle Lalonde #16 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025, Clarkson) : Lalonde is a tall player with a big presence. She buckles down hard on pucks and brings energy and aggression into her battles. Her pk presence is strong as she is eager to jump on fumbling pucks or on players who hesitate, she is able to capitalize on there mistakes. She picks up coverages well in the D-zone, and communicates well with her defense. Grade: B- 

Ellie Lacombe #27 (John Abbott College Islanders, F, 2025) : Lacombe is quick on the skates and provides a great deal of pressure on the points. Lacombe is a great skater, forechecking hard and playing aggressive, she has a great shot and skill that she should use more. Grade: B- 

St Laurent Patriotes

Mila Ciarciello #7 (Unknown, F) : Good support in the D-zone, she posts up on the wall and keeps her head on a swivel, planning her next move. She is confident in carrying the puck and looks to advance the puck up ice. Grade: B-

Magalie Harpin #9 (Unknown, F) : Harpin plays smart defensively, getting into position to provide good coverages and support. She rushes the point and blocks shots. She provides good support on the forecheck, patrolling the slot as F2 or F3. Grade: B- 

Camille Banville #10 (Unknown, F) : Banvillle is a good skater and controls the puck well. She positions herself well and protects the puck, keeping herself between the opponent and the puck. That allows herself to drive hard to the middle of the ice and keep puck possession for her team. Grade: B-

Phoebe Gao #19 (Unknown, F) : Gao is a skater who out skated both defense and took the puck to the net on a breakaway and shot it five hole. This shows her relentless motor and her ability to get first to pucks to win puck possession. Grade: B-

Dawson College

Zoe Bergeron #18 (Dawson College, F, 2026) : Bergeron takes the zone with a purpose with and without the puck. She followed up a rush, receiving a drop pass, hitting a 1-timer along the ice beating the tender low glove corner. Grade: B+

Hailey Neil #4 (Dawson College, D, 2025) : Tall defender who is strong on her skates. Puts her body in good position to block the lane and can protect the puck with her physicality. Players bounce off of her to create space and can deliver passes through a tight seam accurately. Grade: B+ 

Odelie Beaufort #2 (Dawson College, D, 2026) : Beaufort has good lateral mobility across the blue line. She gets herself to the middle lane and release low shots on net. She also has good balance and vision to find the shot lanes. Grade: B 

Lea Salem #13 (Dawson College, F, 2024) : Quick player with smooth and nifty hands. She keeps her head up so she can see plays and lanes open up. She is effortless around the offensive zone to maintain strong possession. She quickly attacks through lanes that open up to up the pace of play and make sure she does not give the opposition time to adjust there coverages. Grade: B 

Noemie Bastien #30 (Dawson College, G, 2025) : Bastien is a steady tender who covers the puck in a timely manner to assist her team. She has a tight post seal and is quick to cover. She holds the crease challenge on the rush and uses short lateral movements to stay with the play. Grade: B 

Robyn Peck #77 (Dawson College, F, 2025) : Peck has quick feet and is able to accelerate quickly and play with agility. She has a high motor, working hard off the bench to raise the pace and win possession. Plays with her head up and finds reliable options to manage the puck in low danger areas. Grade: B 

Mikaella Jazmine Lambrakis #14 (Dawson College, D, 2025) : Lambrakis is a fluid skater who aggressively pinches to keep the attack alive. She is also confident to jump to pucks and get the body or the puck. Grade: B-

Edouard Montpetit

Marie-Maxim Payette #26 (Édouard-Montpetit, F, 2026) : Payette drives the offense on a shift-to-shift basis. She is able to shoot through screens and get pucks through opposing defenders. She possesses a knack for arriving at the right time in front of the net, to score goals and produce. She gets many scoring chances during games due to her high IQ and intelligence on the ice. Grade: B 

Lea Turcotte #27 (Édouard-Montpetit, F, 2025) : Turcotte is a leader for her team and leads by example. She never cheats for offense and is always on the correct side of the puck. She takes care of her own end first, and then can transition quickly into offense with the help of her skating quickness, and hockey IQ. She works hard down low and wins many of her 50/50 puck battles. Grade: B 

Leona Tuniq-Frechette #16 (Édouard-Montpetit, F, 2026) : Frechette is a quality playmaker who can pass the puck and create offensive chances for her team. She can drive the net hard, and cause havoc in front of the net. Frechette is also a good forechecker who can quickly transition and start offensive chances. She is not afraid to go to the dirty areas on the ice and generate additional offensive opportunities. Grade: B- 

Magaly Maynard #23 (Édouard-Montpetit, F, 2025) : Maynard works hard. She forechecks and backchecks battling hard in corners to try and gain puck possession. She is also good support in the D-zone. Grade: B- 

Audrey Albert #43 (Édouard-Montpetit, D, 2026) : Simple defender, she plays the body on the rush and pins in battles. She clears bodies in front of the net and makes sure know one is comfortable around her goalie. Grade: B-

Champlain College – Lennoxville

Victoria Veilleux #20 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2026) : Veilleux battled in front to gain position for a screen that contributed to the second goal against Alberta. She drove the net hard to receive a pass on the fly for a quick snap shot on goal. Her passes are smooth and accurate. Veilleux led her team in points throughout the tournament with 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points, being held off the scoresheet in only one game of the tournament. One of those goals came 15 seconds into the quarters where she buries a shot from the slot. Another goal in the Gold Medal game where she showed timing to get to open space in the high slot, again showcasing that quick release that she put right inside the post. Grade: A 

Lorie Van Winden #5 (Champlain-Lennoxville, D, 2026) : Van Winden does a good job from the point setting up forwards for goals. She sees the offensive zone well and can find the pass and shot lanes which is a great quality for her to have. Grade: B 

Naomi Cote #7 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2024, Bishop’s) : Cote works extremely hard. She forechecks, forcing turnovers and gaining puck possession for her team. Grade: B 

Naomi Morin #9 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2024, Ottawa) : Morin is a strong defender with active feet and stick defensively. She works the blue line well and pinches effectively to maintain zone control. She is strong on her stick defensively and gets pucks low on net from the point. Morin plays with patience, she pinches to keep the puck in the O-zone and uses an active stick. She sees the ice well and does not force plays. Grade: B 

Sydney Prevost #10 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2026) : Prevost played a physical game against Quebec. She battled in the corners and won pucks to create chances. Prevost added her speed to the mix and won a puck battle to negate an icing call. She got her stick in the passing lanes to break plays and deny chances on the penalty kill. Against Saskatchewan, Prevost slid to an open space and received a pass to crush a one-timer past the goalie to open the scoring. Grade: B

Catherine Proulx #11 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2024, Montreal) : Proulx is a solid defensive forward who clogs passing lanes and uses quick feet and her stick to force turnovers on both ends. Works hard on the forecheck and battles in the corners for loose pucks. Proulx has solid hands and can make tight turns and changes of direction with the puck to keep the defense guessing. She is reliable to work hard and forecheck hard to force turnovers and gain puck possession. She sees the ice well and has the skill to easily maneuver through traffic and start offense. Grade: B

Frederike Verpaelst #14 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2025) : Verpaelst works well to probe for open space to receive passes and works the cycle well down low. She has a knack for knowing where to be and scored off a nice one-time shot from the slot. Verpaelst has the speed to beat defenders wide with the puck and cut inside to pressure the defense. A smart passer who can make quick passes in tight situations. Grade: B 

Marie-Jeanne Gagne #19 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2026) : Gagne is a powerful forward with good skating for her frame. Brings effort on both ends of the ice, and does well at disrupting the opponent in the neutral zone. Did well to pressure the opponent into a neutral zone turnover and deked the goalie for a breakaway goal. Protects the puck well using her body, to drive the net and set herself up with offensive opportunities. She is relentless on the backcheck and picks up sticks. Grade: B 

Sandrine Larouche #22 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2026) : Larouche brings effort every shift and battles hard down low and in corner battles. She does well with the puck at her feet down low to use strength and balance to maintain puck possession. Larouche has solid handles in tight and uses the toe drag to create space for a pass. Grade: B 

Beatrice Roger #13 (Champlain-Lennoxville, F, 2024) : Roger is a tall and strong forward who is a menace on the forecheck with her speed, long strides and tenacity for the puck. Solid positionally on both ends and often forces neutral zone turnovers with positioning and defensive instincts. She uses her size to her advantage to protect the puck well. She forechecks relentlessly, forcing turnovers and gaining puck possession for her team. Grade: B- 

Elodie Gervais #16 (Champlain-Lennoxville, D, 2026) : Solid defender, she battles hard in the corners and forces opponents to make mistakes. She is always on you and wants to force mistakes and turnovers. We also like her wok ethic and willingness to win. Grade: B-
