
Ava Drabyk (Saskatoon, G, 2025) – (3 Stars) – Commits to Syracuse University
Ava had a very strong showing on the Saskatoon Stars last season with an impressive .930 save percentage and a 1.93 GAA. In 15 games played she held an 11-4 record. It is reported that Drabyk will make her way onto the Syracuse campus in the 2025-2026 season.
NZ Scouts say: “Drabyk has quick reflexes to go down and up to face multiple opportunities. She tracks the puck well and gets square to the shooter.”
Abby Broz (White Bear Lake, F, 2025) – (3 Stars) – Commits to Franklin Pierce University
This Cretin-Durham Hall forward led her team again in scoring with 17 goals and 11 assists totaling 28 points in her Junior year campaign. It is reported that Broz will make her way onto the Franklin Pierce campus in the 2025-2026 season.
NZ Scouts say: “Abby can win the small ice battles and gets the puck out of the zone and up the ice. She can be aggressive and gets her scoring chances.”
McKenzie Grimm (Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U19, F, 2025) – (3 Stars) – Commits to Franklin Pierce University
It is reported that Grimm will make her way onto the Franklin Pierce campus in the 2025-2026 season.
NZ Scouts say: “Grimm is a hard hat type of player who works incredibly hard each and every shift. She plays physical, battling along the boards and hunts the puck.”
Melanie Targosz (Little Caesars U19, D, 2024) – (3.5 Stars) – Commits to Franklin Pierce University
It is reported that Targosz will make her way onto the Franklin Pierce campus in the 2025-2026 season.
NZ Scouts say: “Targosz is a tall puck moving defender with a great stride. She maneuvers around opponents, and will curl to create lanes.”
Leila Fournier (Loomis Chaffee School, G, 2024) – (2.75 Stars) – Commits to Assumption University
The bigger the game was, Fournier seemed to really amplify her game with her best hockey being played in the NEPSAC playoffs. It is reported that Fournier will make her way onto the Assumption University campus in the 2024-2025 season.
NZ Scouts say: “Fournier makes several acrobatic saves to keep her team in the game. She smothers pucks and gives up no easy rebounds.”
Claudia Castellanos (Ironbound u19, F, 2025) – Commits to Lindenwood University
Castellanos hails from Spain and even represents her country at World Championship events. She lead the WJC-18 D1B tournament with 14 points in 5 games. Last season she put up big numbers for Ironbound scoring over a point per game with 80 points in just 58 games. It is reported that Castellanos will make her way onto the Lindenwood campus in the 2025-2026 season.
NZ Scouts say: “Castellanos has good size and quickness, she is hard on the forecheck. She will use her body and be physical. She plays the game at a high tempo. She has the ability to log a lot of ice time.”
