On Sunday November 7th the Sudbury Wolves played visitors to the host Oshawa Generals. In a game where the Generals never trailed, the host team earned a 4-1 win. Sudbury was on the last game of a 3 in 3, while host Oshawa had played Friday but had Saturday to rest.

On Sunday November 7th Neutral Zone had a scout in attendance to watch the Niagara Ice dogs visit the Mississauga Steelheads in OHL league action. While the attention was on late 2003 and 2004 birth years eligible for the 2022 NHL draft a close look was also given to 2003 birth years not taken in this past NHL draft. One of the repercussions of COVID was a missed season for many Ontario prospects as the province locked down tighter than any hockey playing location in the world. As such it is our feeling that some very good 2003 players may have been by passed in the draft due to their missed season of development.

Jaden Grant – Long Term Player Watch
He finished checks a little late and a little too hard. He was annoying to play against and his stick was very active with extra hacks and whacks. We like this element because he is a distraction to his opponents and he creates more time for his linemates.

December 21, 2019: From what we can tell Noah has not played a whole lot of hockey while he was growing up. He has played in some high level games for his age group, gone to National Camps and done well and even played Internationally at The Hilinka, but he has only played about 65 games over the previous two seasons. This is a plus for us because he has shown rapid development in a short time and is obviously very athletic.

Neutral Zone NHL’s Ian Moran’s comments, August 2019: Jackson is as an exciting to watch player in this age group as you will find. He’s obviously going to get stronger which will lead to more speed an quickness, and let’s face it that is a scary thought. Defensemen are afraid of him. They retreat early to save their butts thinking they’ll look good, when in reality Jackson will cut laterally and make them look like a fish out of water. I like his game. I love his competitiveness. And I think we’ve got a real player here.
