Clough commits to stay in state at the University of St. Thomas

Madison Clough (Andover HS/Tradition White, D, 2021) to the University of St. Thomas

Clough is from Andover, MN where she plays for the Andover High School team as well as Tradition White for the Elite League. Last season with her Andover squad, Clough put up 15 points in 24 games as a true offensive defenseman.

“Clough can be an aggressive defender. When she sees the open lane she will take the puck up ice and carry it into the offensive zone herself. She can drive it to the net or make the pass to the open player in the slot. She makes nice plays by setting things up from the point, and doesn’t rush it. She pinches down to get control of the puck and uses the outside lane to carry it in and around until she sees the shot. She can put the puck in the net and creates great offense.” From the most recent Neutral Zone Scouting Report.

Clough was listed as a Yale commit previously, but, on November 5th, she announced her decision to stay in her home state of Minnesota and play for the University of St. Thomas. Neutral Zone sees Clough making a big impact on the Division III game with her strong offensive mind.
