After the Holidays our scouts found themselves at the Edge Sports Center for the East Coast Wizards Holiday Invitational. This tournament had teams nationwide competing at the U16 and U19 levels. We exclusively watched the U19 teams, and saw each team at least once. Report is solely based on play from this tournament. Players are listed under their team names in descending letter grade order.
Assabet
Peyton Kennedy (Phillips Andover Academy, F, 2025) : Peyton is a scrappy player who plays clean and with good skill like Trent Frederic and Charlie Coyle. She has good hands when she has the puck that helps her get to areas of the ice to let off her hard shot on net. She is good in battles for the puck and she can escape out of the corners to make a play to a teammate well. B+
Avery Rodeheffer (Phillips Andover Academy, G, 2025) : Avery is a taller goalie who uses her height and athleticism to get in front of pucks and stay square. She moves well side to side and with her height she can drop to the butterfly and still cover the top of the net pretty well. B+
Ainsley Gray (Noble and Greenough School, D, 2024, Middlebury) : Ainsley is a solid defender who possesses the puck well and uses her skill with the puck to break the puck out strong. She always has her head up looking for a play to make and each shift she is engaged with the play in front of her. That means she is involved and making a difference on the ice. B
Courtney Lilley (Cushing Academy, F, 2024, UNH) : Courtney is a grinder player who battles hard along the boards. She uses her body and high motor to free up loose pucks for her team. She does help offensively by getting herself open in dangerous areas and shows us she can bury the puck. B
Maude Niemann (Assabet Valley Red Major U19, F, 2025) : Maude is a taller and skilled player who moves the puck well and can playmake. She makes quick passes to teammates in the offensive zone and can pass through players to find her own passing lanes that are tough to cover. She is also strong along the boards and can win puck battles for her team. B
Charlotte Voge (St. Paul’s School, F, 2025) : Charlotte is a forward who is constantly moving and moving the puck to get defenders out of position and open up passing and shooting lanes for herself. She makes quick crisp passes and uses her voice to show she is available which was nice to hear. B
Hazel Hughes (East Coast Wizards U16, F, 2025) : Hazel is a power forward type player who is hard along the boards and uses her body to separate pucks from the opposition. When she gains control of the puck she can move it well and makes sure she is hitting her target on the tape. B
Bay State Breakers
Savana Littlewood (BB&N, F, 2025) : Savana is a good skater who uses her skating to forecheck and get to loose pucks quickly. She battles for pucks and uses her skating and stick to try and free up pucks from the opposition. She utilizes her teammates well by passing the puck to them and getting open to make herself an option to pass to. B
Wren Abboud (Thayer Academy, F, 2025) : Wren moves around the ice well with her skating. She handles the puck well so she can maneuver around the ice to look for optimal passing lanes. She gets to the net for rebounds and screens. B
Caroline Doherty (Hingham Harborwomen, F, 2025) : Caroline is a taller forward who is a good and balanced skater. She uses her long strides to get up the ice well and get her to shooting areas of the ice to make a strong scoring opportunity for herself and the team. B-
St. Louis Blues
Marina McCann (St. Louis Lady Blues U19, D, 2024, Plattsburgh) : Marina is a good skating defender who is smooth with the puck and uses her edges to escape away from forecheckers to move the puck up ice. She moves the puck well with her teammates and helps sustain offensive pressure by holding the blue line and keeping the opposition on the defense. B+
Keira Reckley (St. Louis Lady Blues U19, F, 2025) : Keira is a smooth skating forward who seems to almost bounce around the ice which is a compliment because she gets around the ice so quick. She handles the puck real well and can take defenders one on one with a mix of her speed and hands. She also likes to get to the dirty areas of the ice and create offense from anywhere inside the O zone. B+
Avery Arendell (St. Louis Lady Blues U19, D, 2026) : Avery is a defender who plays her best hockey in the defensive zone. She is aggressive against players along the boards and will use her stick and body to free up pucks. She is also effective in the offensive zone by moving well with the puck and getting accurate point shots on net to create rebounds and scoring chances. B
Boston Jr. Eagles
Olivia Maffeo (Noble and Greenough School, D, 2024, Boston College) : Olivia is a very good defenseman and one of the best in the tournament. Her quickness to escape away from pressure and her jump from a stopped position is impressive. She is hard to cover 1 on 1 because of it. She has great feet to walk the line and search for passing and shooting lanes. She also will occasionally rush the puck up ice to start offensive pressure. A
Cami Bell (St. Paul’s School, F, 2024, Yale) : Cami is an offensive driven forward who is so strong and quick with the puck. She likes to circle with the puck and get herself to shooting positions. She will shoot at will which is just fine because she can absolutely rip the puck on net. A-
Gia Thompson (Deerfield Academy, F, 2026) : Gia uses her body position well to shield pucks from being poke and freeing up pucks along the boards from the opposition. She plays at a good high pace and plays her best in the offensive zone. She is a good playmaker who makes smart passes as well as moving the puck quickly to create better scoring chances. B+
Kaitlin Sullivan (Tabor Academy, D, 2024) : Kaitlin is a taller defender who moves the puck very well and quickly to her teammates and partner in transition. She is good one on one and can get it done on both ends of the ice. She showed us she can handle a higher pace of play which is good for her next years jump to D1. B+
Juliana Goffredo (Tabor Academy, F, 2025) : Juliana plays hard along the boards. She battles for possession of the puck and is selfless in the fact of always being F1 to get the puck for her team. When she has the puck she has her head up looking for a play to make and getting her teammates involved in her shift. B+
Reese Pereira (Lawrence Academy, F, 2024) : Reese is a grinder type player who we loved to watch along the boards and battle for the puck. She uses her body in a way to free up the puck and up her chances of winning her battles. B
Calleigh Brown (Boston Jr. Eagles Maroon U19, F, 2025) : Calleigh is a taller forward who uses her teammates well. She is a good passer and hits her linemates on the tape to continue good possession of the puck. She does the little things well by battling hard, active stick and playing with a high motor. B
Mid-Fairfield
Emma McGowan (Berkshire School, F, 2024, Yale) : Emma is such a quick and smooth skating forward who is very fun to watch. She likes to use the perimeter of the ice to find time and space to let off her hard shot on net. Her pace of play is above the competition and she showed us she has goal scoring ability. A-
Alison Giebler (Choate Rosemary Hall, D, 2024) : Alison is a very solid 2 way defender. She can get it done on both sides of the puck. Offensively she uses her feet to open up and survey the ice to make almost deceptive passes that are hard for the other team to track. She is good in transition to find circling forwards on the breakout to get into the O zone smoothly. Defensively we liked how she played one on one and how she did not allow many strong chances on her goal. A-
Grace Morin (Loomis Chaffee School, F, 2025, Brown) : Grace is a taller forward who uses her body to shield the puck and cut to the net for strong scoring chances. She creates scoring chances with her body and skill by moving around the ice with the puck very well. B+
Renee Bishop (Kent School, F, 2026) : Renee is a taller forward who skates well and plays her best hockey in the offensive zone. She helps break the puck out with a good second pass or legging it up ice. She has strong edges that allow her to use her hands and escape away from pressure and generate real strong chances on net. B+
Rachel Bishop (Mid-Fairfield CT Stars U16, D, 2026) : Rachel is a good skating and puck moving defender. She moves the puck up ice well to her teammates which really helps with breakouts. She also moves well with her feet and puck to walk the line and try to open up shot and passing lanes to up scoring chances for her team. B+
Caleigh Murphy (Mid-Fairfield CT Stars U19, D, 2024) : Caleigh is a forward who has quick hands matched with quick feet. Both of those matched up allow her to play at a high pace and make plays quickly like getting to the net to create scoring chances. B+
Spitfires
Michaela Birmingham (St. George’s School, D, 2024) : Michaela is a very good 2 way defender. Offensively she handles the puck well and uses those handles to make quick creative passes to her teammates. When breaking out she finds the open forward quickly and is a true asset all over the ice. Defensively she uses her body well and battles hard anywhere on the ice to free up the puck and get her team back with possession. B+
Little Caesars
Addison Spitz (Little Caesars U19, F, 2024, Colgate) : Addison is a great overall player. Everything she does is quick and at a fast pace. Her quick feet matched with her hands make her a nightmare to cover and she will give her best each shift. She likes to get pucks to the net but she is also a great passer of the puck who will set up open teammates for a scoring chance. A
Ella Lucia (Little Caesars U19, F, 2024, Harvard) : Ella is someone who loves to sit around the net and make herself an option to pass to. She is good at getting herself in an open position and is a playmakers favorite player to play with. Ella backs that up with having a good shot that is strong and accurate. B+
Taylor Hartinger (Little Caesars U19, F, 2023) : Taylor is a strong player who battles hard for possession of the puck. She plays with such high effort that it makes her even more effective on the ice. She also is okay with going to high traffic and dirty areas of the ice to get pucks to scoring areas. B+
Ellie Muscedere (Little Caesars U19, D, 2024, Lindenwood) : Elle is a good 2 way defender and is a taller player. She is strong along the boards and in her puck battles to win possession of the puck. Offensively, she is a good skater who moves well with the puck and is good at moving the puck up ice to her teammates. B+
Maggie Kime (Little Caesars U19, D, 2024, Merrimack) : Maggie is a defender who moves the puck well and with good poise, finds the right person to pass to so that puck possession continues smoothly. She is a strong player who wins her battles but is even better in the O zone. She moves the puck swiftly around and can get good shots on net. B+
Heather Ajakie (Little Caesars U19, F, 2023) : Heather has slick hands and handles the tight areas of the ice well due to her silky hands. She is best in the offensive zone and adds good playmaking to her game which applies offensive pressure. B
Drew Dyczkowski (Little Caesars U19, F, 2024, LIU Brooklyn) : Drew is a taller forward who handles the puck well and moves well. She uses her feet to open up the ice and open up passing lanes to help her make stronger passes to her teammates. B
Kate Conlon (Little Caesars U19, F, 2023) : Kate is a high effort player for her team. She battles hard and wins battles anyway she has to. She uses her body effectively to separate players from the puck and make her very effective in the corners of the ice. B
CT. Jr Eagles
Lila Pannacciulli (Millbrook School, F, 2024, Sacred Heart) : Lila is a skilled defender who has good hands that help her stay poised at the point and find the right play to make. She has good feet that allow her to move well and possess the puck well and helps her make stronger breakouts to her team. B+
Talia Ondy (Westminster School, F, 2025) : Talia is a taller forward but it does not hinder her skating one bit. She moves well on the ice and handles the puck strongly to maneuver herself into shooting areas to put hard shots on net. She uses her body to shield pucks and allow her to make better plays because she has the puck on her stick longer. B+
Sydney Courtmanche (Westminster School, D, 2024) : Sydney is a calm defender who handles the puck well and moves well with the puck. She creates offense by taking calculated risks with the puck and being a dual threat on both sides of the puck. She plays at a strong pace and handles the big workload well. B+
Maya Lileika (Hartford Jr. Lady Wolfpack U14, F, 2024) : Maya is a taller forward who moves well for her size. She has good hands that allow her to move around the ice well and move the puck with her teammates smoothly. When she has the puck on her stick, she looks to get pucks on net and shoots to score. B
Alex Whalen (Mid-Fairfield CT Stars U19, D, 2023) : Alex is a defender with quick feet and can find her target quickly to get good shots on the net from the point. She is active on the point and her reaction speed to jump on pucks and keep plays alive is fun to watch as a scout. B
Dallas Stars Elite
Joss Drayson (Dallas Stars Elite U19, F, 2023) Joss is a good offensive player. She works hard along the boards and wants the puck on her stick. She has quick hands that allow her to dangle one on one on defenders and adds finishing which makes her a real threat. She also is a good shooter who gets pucks to the net and makes the goalie make strong saves against her. B+
Sophia Pham (Dallas Stars Elite U19, F, 2024) : Sophia is a raw talent which means she skates well, moves well and handles the puck well. She has the basics to be a good player. We liked when she was on the ice and when she had the puck she looked to pass and play make to her teammates. B
Valkyries
Genevieve Sbrocca (Dallas Stars Elite U19, F, 2024) : Geneieve is a forward who handles the puck well and is a good teammate that gets open at good spots. She is a taller player who skates well and is a real threat on the powerplay below the face off dots. B
Julia Slaney (Arizona Kachinas U16, D, 2025) : Julia is a strong puck moving defender who gets pucks up ice well and is strong on breakouts. She moves well on her feet which helps with puck possession for her team. Defensively she kills penalties well and gets sticks in passing and shooting lanes and keeps shooters at a distance to reduce the shooting threat. B
Wizards
Nora Curtis (Williston Northampton School, F, 2025, Cornell) : Nora is a taller forward who skates very well for her size. Her body position and IQ for the game is so good and it helps her possess the puck so well and create better offense. Her strong skill and awareness of where to be on the ice makes her a true top talent in NE. A
True Thompson (Little Caesars U16, D, 2025) : True is a strong defender who is skilled and truly good offensively. She works the blue line well to walk the line well and move the puck to the best open player on the ice. She utilizes head fakes to help open things up and gets good point shots on net. A-
Annie Dinges (Deerfield Academy, F, 2024) : Annie is a strong player who plays at a fast pace. She has strong strides that get her up and down the ice so well with the puck. She uses her body well with the puck and uses it to free up pucks in puck battles anywhere on the ice. A-
Monique Lyons (Williston Northampton School, F, 2024, Brown) : Monique is a smaller player who plays at an elite level pace. Her edge work mixed with her hands are so fun to watch and she can play with anyone and be an effective player. A-
Taylor Buckley (East Coast Wizards U19, D, 2025) : Taylor is a taller defender who is a real consistent puck mover. She makes simple plays up ice and makes sure she puts the puck in low risk areas. Her breakouts were also strong and she made sure to move the puck quickly to have the best chance of exiting the zone. B+
Jaime Griswold (Noble and Greenough School, D, 2024) : Jaimie is a good puck mover who is a consistent passer of the puck. She moves well and moves the puck well in the offensive zone and she is a shooting threat as well to create rebounds for her forwards down low. B+
Molly MacCurtain (Noble and Greenough School, F, 2025) Molly is an absolute workhorse who must be a pleasure to coach. She will grind along the boards and do anything to win the puck. Her work ethic is strong and she knows she needs to keep her feet moving at all times. Her skill with the puck is also strong and she was really fun to watch. B+
Lady Ducks
Mikala Gould (Anaheim Lady Ducks U19, F, 2024) : Mikayla is a grinder who is a real pain to play against. Everyone who battles against her did not look happy and shows how good along the boards she is. When she has the puck she plays with a high effort who is always moving her feet and head manning the puck. B
Samantha Phelan (Anaheim Lady Ducks U19, G, 2024) : Samantha is a smaller goaltender but that did not matter with her ability to keep the puck out of the net. She moves really well side to side and comes up with the big save more often than not. B
Rome
Tiffany Lasher (Ridley College, D, 2026) : Tiffany is a fast player who has good edges that help her shield pucks away from the opposition. She is a strong forechecker who really puts the pressure on the opposing defense. When she does have the puck, she handles it well and gets up and down the ice well. B
