Reese Combe: Commits to Stonehill

Combe is currently playing for Northwood School.

NZ Scouts say: “Combe moves the puck well. Her first pass is smooth and on target to start the breakout. She moves the puck back and forth with her partner to regroup in the neutral zone and transition for zone entry.”

Katerina Pencikova: Commits to RIT

Pencikova is currently playing for HC Bobri Valasske Mezirici in the Czechia (W) league. She has 10 goals in 9 games for the club and also represented Czechia at the U18 level three times. 6 points in 6 games on her way to a Bronze Medal.

Abby Richardson: Commits to Clarkson

Richardson has had a very strong year so far for NAHA 19U AAA. 35 goals in 46 games, for 66 total points.

NZ Scouts say: “Richardson is a smaller-framed but tenacious forward who battles aggressively along the boards in the offensive zone. She shows strong competitiveness, winning puck battles and making smart plays under pressure.”

Harper Wieneke: Commits to Assumption

Wieneke is currently playing for Maple Grove High and is having a point per game season with 23 points in 23 games, 18 of those points being assists.

NZ Scout say: “Wieneke effectively uses her size and long reach to close down space on opponents, taking away time and options with an active stick and well-timed poke checks. Defensively, she makes it difficult for attackers to generate clean entries or maintain possession, as she angles them off and applies pressure without overcommitting.”

Haley Hasbargen: Commits to Assumption

Hasbargen is putting up big numbers for Winchendon School 16U. She has 70 assists and 98 points in 46 games played.

NZ Scouts say: “Hasbargen wheels the zone with speed, carrying the puck confidently while maintaining control and surveying the ice. She showed patience, waiting for the optimal moment and reading the play before making a move or releasing the puck.”

Autumn Kelly: Commits to LIU

Kelly has 19 goals and 32 points in 36 games for Northwood School. Quite the step up from last years numbers, which earns her a D1 commitment.

NZ Scout say: “She handles the puck well and consistently moves her feet and forechecks hard.”

Elliana Engelhardt: Commits to Minnesota State

Engelhardt is having a strong year offensively. She has 16 goals and 15 assists in 23 games for Hill-Murray School.

NZ Scouts say: “She was dominant in the offensive zone, suffocating and wearing down the opposing defender with her hard forechecks and constant possession of the puck. Every time the puck was on her stick, she was a huge threat and created chaos for the goalie.”

Emmie Hardwick: Commits to Post

Hardwick has 16 assists and 22 points in 23 games for Warroad High, as well as wearing the “A”.

NZ Scouts say: “Hardwick played with immense tenacity and grit in her game versus Marshall in the Class A quarterfinal. Hardwick goes hard to the net and creates chaos down low for defenders.”

Jane Daley: Commits to Ohio State

One of the more impressive young prospects, at the 09 birth year, finds a home. She has 15 goals and 18 assists in 19 games played for Shattuck St. Mary’s Prep. Also an impressive showing for Team USA at the U18 world championships. 12 goals and 17 points in 6 games!

NZ Scouts say: “Daley is a poised, intelligent player who excels at puck protection and maintaining possession, rarely giving the puck away. She creates offensive chances with her vision and passing touch. Away from the puck, she finds open lanes to support play and consistently makes herself available.”

Aurora Matt: Commits to Cornell

Matt plays for Durham West at the U22 AA level. She has 22 points in 26 games. She represented Team Canada at the WJC-18 (W) putting up 5 points in 6 games on the backend.

NZ Scouts say: “Matt gets pucks to the net with a low, hard snapshot from the point. She gets to the middle quickly on the powerplay to distribute pucks and fire shots on goal.”

Joryn Hempel: Commits to St. Cloud

Hempel plays for OHA Edmonton U18 prep and has 17 points in 22 games.

NZ Scouts say: “Her skill with the puck, including a sharp toe drag, allowed her to navigate traffic and create opportunities in tight spaces. Hempel’s combination of vision, hands, and ability to make plays under pressure makes her a dynamic offensive contributor and a player who consistently elevates her team’s attack.”

Monica Berres: Commits to Colgate

Berres plays defense for Shattuck St. Mary’s Prep and has 10 points in 34 games.

NZ Scouts say: “Berres displayed a great stick and was so strong defensively all week. She lets very little, if any, by her one-on-one keeping forwards to the outside to avoid trouble through the middle of the ice.”

Alivia Foster: Commits to UVM

Foster currently plays for Lloydminster PWM Steelers. She has 3 points in 19 games in the AFHL U18 AAA.

NZ Scouts say: “Foster makes a good reverse to beat the forechecker and plays with a physical presence. She executes a solid pinch to keep plays alive and apply pressure. She defended rushes up ice, from the opposition, keeping the opponent wide and playing the body.”

Shay Benson: Commits to St. Thomas

Benson is having a very strong year offensively for Moorhead High. She has 20 goals and 39 points in 23 games.

NZ Scouts say: “Benson is a smooth, agile skater who moves well in all directions and consistently stays engaged in the play. She has strong stride mechanics and balance, allowing her to cover ice efficiently and react quickly to developing situations.”

Lea-Rose Charrois: Commits to Clarkson

Charrois has played in 8 games for Saint-Laurent Patriotes. 3.38 GAA and a .888 save percentage for the club. She also played in 4 games for Team Canada with a 1.26 GAA and a .929 save percentage.

NZ Scouts say: “Charrois was a standout goalie in this tournament. She played with such confidence, even in the gold medal game. She handles the puck very well outside of her crease and passes the puck up the wall to her teammates.”

Jen Birolini: Commits to St. Michael’s College

Birolini currently plays for Tabor Academy and Massachusetts Spitfires U19 for split season.

NZ Scouts say: “Birolini is a hard-working forward with good hands and offensive instincts. Her stickhandling skills allow her to create space for herself to operate.”

Ella Simard: Commits to UVM

Simard is currently playing for the Edmonton Jr. Oilers U18. She has 14 assists and 23 points in 20 games.

NZ Scouts say: “Simard opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal, showcasing her quick changes of direction and elusive skating ability. She’s a threat to shoot from anywhere, wins faceoffs effectively on both sides, and expertly changes her shooting angle.”
