Week 1 of the Minnesota Elite League got going with plenty on anticipation. The rinks were covered with NHL, Division 1 and USHL scouts ready to see who would gain their attention. On display were nearly 40 Division 1 commitments, multiple USNTP candidates and a handful of prospects for the 2019 NHL Draft.
The Minneapolis/St. Paul teams looked strong as Southeast and Southwest made an impression. Not to be denied, team North came in and stole the show playing some throwback physical type of hockey. It was only week 1, but the players didn’t waste any time getting . . .
