Summary: Despite the score, Alberni Valley controlled most of the game. Salmon Arm could not get their feet under them until late in the first period when they started generating chances on the powerplay, especially against the league’s top penalty kill. The second period was evenly fought with the play going back and forth. The game came down to capitalizing on opportunities and Salmon Arm did just that as they were 2 for 4 on the powerplay. Alberni Valley’s powerplay struggled going 1 for 7 . . .
