
With virtually all Minor Hockey in Ontario under suspension at present due to covid, and no definitive return to play dates set there is a lack of opportunity for scouts to evaluate prospects at present. Last week I received an email from the Barrie Colts U16 organization inviting me to attend a scrimmage. The staff of the Colts used creativity in designing a game like event to allow their players an opportunity to compete in front of invited scouts. Without referees the U16’s scrimmaged the Barrie U18 team (comprised of U17 and U18 players).  . . .
