With a somewhat depleted lineup, Sun County played a defensive-minded game, clogging up the neutral zone and limiting the Huron Perth chances. Two early goals would be all they would need despite the Lakers pulling to within one early in the third period. Sun County quickly restored their 2 goal lead and added an empty net goal to win 4-1 and hand Huron Perth their first regular season loss.
