Despite being outshot 33 to 19, the Melville Millionaires rode a strong goaltending performance and capitalized with opportunistic offense to beat the visiting Flin Flon Bombers 3-1 on February 22nd. The Bombers turned up the pressure in the third period, holding an 8 shot advantage in the last frame and with a 6 on 4 powerplay within the game's final minutes, but were unable to break through the Melville penalty kill.
