New Jersey ran into some penalty trouble in the third period, giving Danbury 3 poweplays but was able to kill them off with the help of their goaltender Andrei Nikolayev. Danbury outshot New Jersey for the game 34-25. Each team went 1 for 5 on the powerplay.
