The hometown Vernon Vipers clawed their way back into this game, with Oliver Czaja scoring his second of the game, tying the game at two with about five minutes left, only to have Felix Haibock get the winner about a minute and a half later, resulting in a 3-2 victory for the Spruce Grove Saints. Declan Waddick and Josh Polick also scored for the Saints while both goaltenders were very good in this game, with Saints goalie Finn Marshall making 29 saves while Lane Maarhuis, in his second BCHL start was solid making 31 stops.
