The second Section 7A semifinal matchup between No. 2 seed Hermantown and No. 3 seed Cloquet/Esko/Carlton at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minnesota. An even first period saw Cloquet/Esko/Carlton strike first with ten seconds remaining in the period, and the team made it 2-0 only 1:42 into period two. Leading 3-0 to start the third, Hermantown tallied a quick goal but were unable to beat goaltender Jacob Iallonardo again, falling 4-1 after an empty net goal.
