(8) Body Language – After a big hit Zach doesn’t skate around looking for high fives.
On Sunday November 3rd we traveled to Hamilton to watch the Bulldogs take on the visiting Ottawa 67’s. This would be our first viewing of the 67’s and quite honestly…
On Wednesday February 19th Neutral Zone NHL was in attendance for the Rimouski Oceanic at Moncton Wildcats overtime thriller. Below are the game evaluations for Mocton’s NHL prospects; Elliot Desnoyers…
Elliot Desnoyers (4 Star Amatuer Rating, NHL Grade — C) Forward Game Grade: B-, Desnoyers, the 141st ranked skater in North America by NHL Central Scouting, showed his offensive mindset in this…
The physical tools are all there for Dufour showing off a strong frame with good balance and strength on his feet.
We have no doubt that Carson will play NHL games, but with hard work and consistent dedication Carson has a chance to have an NHL career. You honestly can’t say that about everyone who gets drafted.
Weekend evaluation vs Swift Current and Brandon Wheat Kings. Landon has been upgraded.
On Sunday March 1st we watched the Hurricanes take on the Hitmen in Calgary. The game had a playoff feel from the opening face-off as the intensity ran high. Below are the evaluations of the Lethbridge prospects who are eligible for the 2020 NHL Draft.
Josh is currently (3/20) seeing time on the 2nd PP, being used regularly in penalty killing situations & is taking face-offs in high leverages late game situations. He plays with grit and does the little things that help teams be successful.
Here at Neutral Zone we have 22 published amateur evaluations on Jarod. Our first was published in September 2016 while he was playing right wing and our most recent in September 2019 where he was viewed as a mobile defenseman with high upside. Combine all of our information together and heading into the start of the New England Prep season we feel Jarod is a defensive prospect who deserves the attention of NHL organizations.
Neutral Zone’s first evaluation of Jack took place in September of 2016 and has continued through the New England Prep Elite Eight Championship in March of 2020. We have seen him mature from a so called 6’1″ surprise with long reach, into a 6’3″ 215lbs power forward who led Dexter in scoring this past season. While his transformation is still happening, Neutral Zone NHL took a look back at his progress to see if Jack can bloom into an NHL draft pick.
(2) Vision & Poise – He makes the right play all over the ice. Again this might sound foolish because you would expect every player to do this at the USHL level, but it is incredibly difficult. A player’s mind plays tricks on them and they think they need to do more and more to get noticed, but in reality high level coaches just want you…
Nolan has always had offensive capabilities, but we feel he is a defender who has improved his play away from the puck while playing for David Wilkie in Omaha.
He was not on our February Draft list, but with his improvement and upward trend it’s hard to believe that a team wont take a chance on him in the 6th or 7th round in June.
(3) Feet – Dylan has elite speed right now and we feel he will only get faster, quicker and more agile after a few years of high end training at the University of Wisconsin. He is in contention for the quickest first step in this draft class.
(10) Intangibles – For the past two years Tim has heard the talk that he is too small to succeed at the next and all he does is keep succeeding and proving people wrong. We love that mindset and we love his hockey IQ.
8-6 final for Saginaw in this game. Lots of offense early in this game with 7 goals in the first period of the game. Cole Perfetti was dynamic offensively for Saginaw early with a couple of assists in the first period and another handful of quality chances early.
A good puck moving defenseman, who has lots of poise in his game. On offense he has a heavy slap shot that he loves to get off on the power play. In transition, he is very alert with the puck and can make passes on the fly as well as slip through defenders with his smooth stride and effortless transitions.
Nathan Gaucher QMJHL game report: Quebec Remparts VS Halifax Mooseheads (2/29/20)
It’s time to write this player up!! We are generally focused on first year draft eligible players in our 2020 draft analysis reports, but Gogolev just continues to put up good numbers this season. He is a 2000 birth year player who has been passed over in previous drafts, but he has scored in every game we have viewed this season and has been in the top 10 in league scoring all season.
