Kalle Ervasti

Finnish defensemen that stands 6’0’’ and 180 pounds. He is a right shot and played this past season for Lukko U18 and U20 in Finland. He scored 18 points (three goals) in 35 games for Lukko U20s. He has also played in North America for South Florida Hockey Academy U16s in 2018-2019. He also played in the U18s for Finland and did not have a point in three games. He is a sturdy defender that is athletic and moves around the ice well. He has quick feet and skates backwards efficiently. He keeps it simple offensively. He moves the puck quickly up-the-ice and to the open man. He is relied upon more in the defensive zone currently. He keeps good gaps and closes well on forwards. He has a strong stick and cuts down time and space. He forces pressure to the perimeter of the ice and forces forwards onto their backhand. He retrieves pucks well and snaps them to his teammates. He plays physical when needed and is positionally strong in his own end. Doesn’t take many chances offensively and plays a strong game in his own end.
