Neutral Zone NHL’s Ian Moran’s comments, June 2021: Dower Nilsson is a very positionally sound center. He’s strong on the puck and has the easy soft hands to receive passes while at top speed on his forehand or backhand. I really like his defensive zone awareness while he’s providing low support. His head is on a swivel and he is constantly looking around to make sure he has net side positioning. Offensively Dower Nilsson is strong on the puck and uses his low center of gravity to keep defenders off balance. He has a very powerful cross under while he’s spinning off of contact to attack the net. He certainly has the puck skills to make people miss in one on situations, but more importantly he has the IQ to use his teammates rather force risky high light reel moves. At the U18 World’s he was a net front on the power play and showed strong edges when battling for that ice. He was also the Captain on the star studded Swedish U18 team.
