Ludvig Jansson

Ian Moran’s Thoughts: Jansson is a smooth skating slightly undersized right shot defender. He defends neutral zone transition with tight gaps and has the footwork to move laterally without crossing over. I like his competitiveness during 1on1 situations, especially in front of his net where he uses leg drive to clear shooting lanes. Offensively he goes with his first decision and does not over complicate things. His passes are hard and flat. I like his ability to pull pucks off the wall finding streaking forwards in the middle or to walk the offensive blueline for a shot. I feel like he is a long shot to be drafted, but he is an excellent skater who defends through / by establishing body position to win his battles.
