Niklas Seppanen

U18: 5 Nation Tournament, November 8-14, 2022: Niklas is a left shooting defenseman who plays the left side and is decently sized at 6 foot and 187 pounds. He is not much of an offensive contributor but is excellent on the defensive side of the game. He has very good backwards lateral agility and as such he can play a very good tight gap on the face of the attack or he can use his mobility to close ice on a wide attacker very quickly. His angling, shrinking ice and riding attackers off of pucks was excellent in our 2 viewings. He was also very cognizant of the front of his net, clearing rebounds, lifting sticks or pushing out attackers from the crease area. Very good quickness on display getting into corners and playing physical.
