It’s easy to see why Connor is such a highly touted National Hockey League prospect. He is obviously skilled and has a great stride, but we feel his brain is what sets him apart. Gatineau gave up 7 goals here, but it could have been 15 if not for Poirier. Chicoutimi is a talented offensive squad and they were able to carve the Gatineau defense with relative ease. Poirier made several high quality saves on dangerous opportunities, including at least 3 breakaway chances.

Tonight was Profaca’s best showing offensively with a number of good reads on the offensive blueline and quality shots through to the net.
