Pavel Tyutnev

Pavel is a skilled Russian right-winger that stands at 5’11’’ and 185 pounds. He played this past season in the KHL, MHL, and VHL. He spent most of his time in the MHL for Loko Yaroslavl where he scored 19 points (eight goals) in 25 games. He is scheduled to play in the KHL for Lokomativ Yaroslavl next season. He is a athletic player but is thick and has a big lower half. He is strong and tough to separate from the puck. Has slick hands which let him do a lot of things with the puck. Quick in tight to lift the puck over the goalie. Also, can pull the puck around defenders or beat them in close quarters. His skating is average. He is mobile at top speed but it takes him some time to get there. He is fluid but a bit heavy in his stride. He is smart with the puck and knows where he is going with it before it gets to him. Good one touch passing and passing in space. He utilizes the give-and-go well and creates space through passing lanes. Effective in the offensive zone off-cycle and along the boards. Smart and crafty around the net to make creative plays to generate scoring chances.
