Our scouts have compiled the following ranking set from the 2023-2024 Minnesota Girls High School hockey season. The top 2026 graduating players are evaluated in specific number order below.
- Maddy Kimbrel #11 (Orono High School, F, 2026) : Kimbrel is a relentless and gritty player. She is passionate and plays to win. For a player on the younger side, she makes herself noticeable and lets you know she’s there. An intelligent hockey player who can produce and who can step up in the big moments. Kimbrel led her team in goals scored, she is skilled and a threat in any zone of the ice with or without control of the puck. Fun to watch!
- Lorelai Nelson #12 (Edina High School, F, 2026) : Nelson is a talented young player. She is consistent and plays her role. She is quick and confident and plays on a top line. She does a nice job on the draw and is quick to react. A tough competitor and team player. She steps up when she needs to and shows up. As a sophomore she was second in scoring on the year and went on to help her team win the State Tournament.
- Sophie Olson #10 (Hill Murray High School, F, 2026) : Sophie plays a strong and solid game. She is a tenacious player who will attack and cause the other team to turn over the puck. She has a beautiful release and puts points on the board. Sophie can be relentless on it and doesn’t give up. She plays great with linemate Boreen. She plays heads up hockey and is smart.
- Ellie Stewart #10 (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, F, 2026) : Stewart is quick and speedy. She doesn’t have a lot of hesitation in her game. She is smart/hockey IQ. She makes good things happen and can turn a bad situation into a good one. She capitalizes and creates scoring opportunities. Stewart is strong on her skates. For a smaller player she doesn’t let herself get pushed around.
- Jasmine Hovda #5 (Roseau High School, F, 2026) : Hovda is a strong willed and determined player. She is confident and has great hockey IQ. She comes ready to go and she can be a difference maker. She is quick and along with her ability to read and anticipate she wins the race and can cause turnovers. Hovda is becoming more noticeable and harder to compete with. A sophomore who led her team in points this season. She is skilled in many ways.
- Taylor Reese #6 (Warroad High School, F, 2026) : Reese positions herself really well. She has good instincts and can put the puck in the net. She is aggressive and comes out ready to play. She has great net front presence and can be hard to defend. Reese had a beautiful bar down shot for a goal against a strong Lakeville North team. She will be a big returning player for the Warriors.
- Janie McGawn #1 (Blake School, G, 2026) : McGawn made some impressive saves and kept her team in the game. She keeps her eye on it and has good reaction time. She is quick and does a great job side to side and up and down. She stays calm and collected and can shut it down.
- Reese Ruska #11 (Osseo/Park Center, F, 2026) : Reese is a consistent and reliable player. She can be an offensive threat and skilled puck handler. She has speed and can be feisty. She will get her body into it and does a really good job battling in the corners. She finds a way to get control of the puck and adds to the scoresheet.
- Sydney Burnevik #17 (Champlin Park-Coon Rapids, F, 2026) : Sydney can be strong. She takes a beating and keeps going, playing tough and sturdy on her skates. A team player who is unselfish. She has skills and is strong on the puck. Sydney has a high compete level and she can produce. She is driven and she is passionate. Great job anticipating and fun to watch.
- Tessa Boden #11 (Champlin Park-Coon Rapids, D) : Boden is quick on her feet. She helps out and can play in all zones of the ice. She makes things happen for the better. She anticipates and can read it really well. She doesn’t back down and stays on it battling for control. Boden is a fighter and can win the small ice scrums.
- Elizabeth Callahan #33 (Mound Westonka, F, 2026) : Callahan is a strong and determined younger player. She will fight and battle and plays with an edge. She keeps her head on a swivel and anticipates the play. Very instinctive. She can play multiple positions. Smart and reliable. Callahan shows up to play.
- Ella Bodin #19 (East Ridge High School, F, 2026) : Bodin is a gritty player who will pressure you hard. She is speedy and can win the battle for control of the puck. There’s not a lot of hesitation in her game and she stays focused. She brings energy and generates offense. Bodin is good in the scrums and causes turnovers in in all zones of the ice.
- Abigail Sklavenitis #8 (Forest Lake High School, F, 2026) : Abigail can be a force and isn’t afraid to get in the corners and battle. She uses her body and can take the other team off the puck. She does a nice job on the faceoff’s, and she is capable of producing. She creates and can capitalize on her opportunities. Abigail does a nice job controlling the puck and puts points on the board. Between her and Roberts they have the possibility of being over 500 again.
- Bella Lindquist #24 (Osseo/Park Center, F, 2026) : Bella can make the most out of her opportunities. She has speed and drive. She had numerous chances and played a strong consistent game against Blake. She showed up ready to go and took advantage of her moments.
- Sadie Roth #18 (East Ridge High School, F) : Roth takes advantage of mistakes and can make the other team pay for them. She also takes advantage of her opportunities and can put the puck in the back of the net. She is sneaky and crafty. She has speed and great net front presence. She knows how to use her body and gets into the scrums.
- Megan Berg #2 (Bemidji High School, F, 2026) : Megan can fight her way through a lot. A competitor. She moves her feet and can draw penalties in the process. She makes things happen and finds her way to the net. She is passionate about the game and plays to win. She gets her share of chances and can be productive in the offensive zone with or without the puck.
- Brynne Bischoff #14 (Rogers High School, D) : Brynne can be aggressive and she does a nice job in the offensive zone. She fights and supports the play. A team player. Younger but confident and reliable. She pressures the play and can get pucks to the net. She got better as the season went along so next year will be interesting to see what she can do.
- Hannah Johnson #2 (Fergus Falls High School, F, 2026) : Hannah works it around the perimeter and cycles the puck at the right time. She has some get up and go and can create scoring opportunities. She gets after it and pressures the play. She is a team player who led Fergus in points this season. She could work on some strength and her hands moving forward.
- Blake Schultz #8 (East Grand Forks, F, 2024) : Blake fights and battles through whatever she can. She makes sure to get pucks deep and does a nice job controlling it. She can generate offense and can add to the scoresheet. Blake is a team player who has a competitive/aggressive side as well.
- Brooke Hauan #4 (Hutchinson, 2026) : Brooke can be a scrappy player who sets it up and creates opportunities. She doesn’t hesitate to get into the corners and battle for control. She positions well and supports the puck and player. She needs to work on her strength and go with her gut instincts.
