Mans Forsfjall

Ian Moran’s Thoughts: Forsfjall is fleet footed left shot defender who started the season by having 9 points in 9 games in the J20 Nationell and finished the season playing 45 games in the SHL (2g,3a). He is very quick laterally and has an explosive fist step. Theses 2 things allow him to defend at a very high level, but they are also attributes that have gotten him into trouble offensively as he still believes he can beat most F1’s to the post. He makes very quick decisions during neutral zone transition and his passes are flat. I feel he is a candidate to be taken late, but he’s going to have to play more minutes in the SHL to justify leaving him in Sweden to develop or be willing to come to the American League next year. Either way, an NHL team probably is not going to see him for at least 2 full seasons.
