Sheffield, MA – Berkshire hosted Choate Rosemary Hall on Wednesday, where the Bears were able to extend their winning streak to 4 games.
Each team traded a few chances through the majority of the first period. Michael
Dossier broke free twice, but Alex Kim was up for the challenge and kept the game at 0. Berkshire struck first with 2:58 remaining in the period when Carter Johnson
redirected a shot from Jonah Rainisch to put Berkshire up 1-0. Fifty-one seconds later, Matt Lacombe pulled up just over the Choate blue line and found Erion Milla streaking down the slot to extend the lead to 2-0.
Choate would get on the board off a 3 on 2 when Miles Bronson found Owen Morris to
cut the Berkshire lead in half at the 5:15 mark of the period. Less than a minute later,
however, Berkshire would respond. Carter Johnson stripped a Choate forward of the
puck in the offensive zone, where Dylan Chernoff would come in and pull the puck out of
the pile. Chernoff walked to the middle and made a slick backhand pass back to
Johnson back door to give Berkshire a 3-1 lead.
Berkshire would add an empty net goal from Rainisch with thirty-five seconds left in the
third period to seal the win for the Bears. Alex Kim was stellar in net to get the win for Berkshire, while Tyler Donroe took the loss in net for Choate.
