St. Georges at #4 Dexter

Brookline, MA – Dexter and St. George’s battled in a hard-fought game on Wednesday. St. George’s got on the board first at the 12-minute mark of the first period when Aiden Ferreira battled in front to redirect a shot from the point from Payton Tracy to put the puck past Dexter netminder Kyle Ready. Dexter would even the score at 2:01 of the first period off the stick of JP Messuri, where Matt Hines found him back door, sending the teams into the intermission at 1-1.

Messuri would get his second of the game at the 5:19 mark of the second period, where
he again got loose at the net front to give Dexter a 2-1 lead. With just under 3 minutes
remaining in the period, Dexter would capitalize on the power play.

Joseph Marchi would finish a beautiful play off a behind-the-back dish from Noah Survilas.
Jack Fitzpatrick would extend Dexter’s lead to 4-1 at the 9:13 mark of the third period,
where he made a strong move on the goal line and finished at the back post. Messuri would complete the hat trick less than 30 seconds later when Survilas would gather another assist and dish to Messuri on a 2 on 1 where he finished a shot five hole, giving Dexter a 5-1 lead, the eventual game final score. Kyle Ready earned the win in net for Dexter while Tyler King absorbed the loss for St. George’s.
