2025 Graduation Year Minnesota HS Rankings

Our scouts have compiled the following ranking set from the 2023-2024 Minnesota Girls High School hockey season. The top 2025 graduating players are evaluated in specific number order below.

  1. Mackenzie Jones #3 (Andover High School, D, 2025, Wisconsin) : Jones is a physical defender. She has great timing and instincts. She uses her stick and can stop the rush coming towards her. She is smart and consistent. A team player, she is a good stay-at-home D who can produce from the blue line. Jones is a tough defender to beat and will do whatever she can to keep pucks out of her goalies’ net.
  2. Makayla Moran #18 (Apple Valley, F, 2025, Minnesota State) : Makayla has been a huge asset to the Apple Valley team for the last few years. She is strong on it, smart, and a flat-out powerhouse. She has a high compete level and plays to win. She has a quick release, and she is highly intelligent. She knows how to produce and puts pucks in the net.
  3. Mercury Bischoff #12 (Grand Rapids-Greenway, F, 2025) : Mercury is a talented and intelligent hockey player. She knows how to generate offense and put the puck in the net. She is an offensive threat and if left alone she can cause havoc for the other team. She is strong on it and uses her body to gain possession. Great puck control, Mercury has nice hands and when she gets the puck she doesn’t lose it or turn it over.
  4. Whitney Horton #15 (Edina High School, F, 2025) : Horton has great control and can command the play. She knows how to produce and can put pucks in the net. She is smart and her hockey IQ can set her aside. She gets numerous chances in a game and knows how to set it up for the goal. Horton is crafty and strong on the puck. She makes it hard on the defense and takes advantage of her opportunities.
  5. Maya Engler #11 (Andover High School, F, 2025, St. Thomas) : Engler is a crafty and shifty player. She can fly under the radar and can come from out of nowhere with speed. She can be feisty and can come away with control of the puck. An unselfish player. She has hockey sense and intelligence. Engler can up her game to another level and shows up in big moments. She can help her team find a way to win.  
  6. Zoe Lopez #10 (Orono High School, F, 2025, Minnesota State) : Zoe is a great decision maker. She doesn’t rush the play and makes smart passes tape to tape. She protects the puck and drives the net. She has size and uses that to her advantage to out-muscle her opponent. She is not afraid to be physical. Zoe will be a big part of the returning Orono team next season. She is a producer who has the game upstairs.
  7. Courtney Little #25 (Andover High School, D, 2025) : Courtney can play multiple positions and has the ability to produce in any situation. She is reliable and she creates chances constantly. She is a strong player who can out-muscle her opponent. She isn’t afraid to battle with anyone. Courtney is a heads-up player with good hands and scoring abilities. She has been a great asset to Andover and will be to St. Thomas next year as well.  
  8. Lily Pachl #7 (South St. Paul, D, 2025, Harvard) : Pachl is reliable and consistent. A smart hockey player with a good head on her shoulders. She can control the play and makes good things happen. She uses her stick and keeps great gap control eventually forcing the opposition to the outside lane. She can be physical and uses her body. Pachl is a talented player who can produce. She can turn into an offensive threat and can rush it without being touched.
  9. Hannah Christenson #9 (Andover High School, F, 2025) : Hannah is a smart player who has the talent to go with it. She has patience yet knows when to make quick decisions. She is instinctive and aware of what’s going on around her. She puts points on the board and doesn’t quit on the play. She is consistent and has a competitive edge over her opponents. She will need to give it everything she’s got going into next season to give the Huskies a chance at the title again.  
  10. Nora Carstensen #11 (Dodge County, F, 2025) : Nora is a team leading point getter. A playmaker, she produces and creates offense almost every shift. She is energetic and battles for everything. She is quick-witted and plays extremely well with Maysie Koch. She has a gritty side and an attitude of not holding anything back. The stronger the opposition or tighter the game, the stronger she plays.
  11. Olivia Kortan #6 (Moorhead High School, F, 2025) : Olivia is a smart and knowledgeable player. She is quick and crafty, and she can be sneaky behind the play. Good in the offensive zone with or without the puck. She can flat out beat the opposition in a battle or with her speed to the net. Olivia has good hands and is a fantastic playmaker as well as a goal scorer. She is a great asset.
  12. Macy Rasmussen #23 (Orono High School, F, 2025, Ohio State) : Rasmussen puts her everything into it. She makes the right play and uses her wits. She isn’t afraid to be physical and creates the turnover. She is so quick and knows how to thread the needle to the net. She has a high compete level and has a phenomenal release. Rasmussen will be a huge asset coming back for Orono next season.
  13. Anika Stromme #24 (Moorhead High School, D, 2025) : Stromme is strong on the back end and can step up to the play in an instant. She makes hard tape to tape passes. She seemed to explode throughout the season as if from out of nowhere. She has speed, strength, and smarts. Stromme is physical and shows leadership qualities. It will be fun to watch her next season.
  14. Bailey Gray #9 (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, D, 2025) : Bailey plays with a winning attitude. She is smart and can be dangerous with the puck in front of the net. She has a nice release and has started the season strong. A team player with knowledge of the game, Bailey can adapt and plays in any situation.
  15. Alex Paulsen #15 (Orono High School, D, 2025) : Paulsen can quarterback the and lead the play from the blue. She is smart and reacts quickly to the puck. She has great instincts and can control and run the play from the top. She does an excellent job on special teams and creates scoring opportunities. Defensively sound and hard to beat. She find her player and make the pass tape to tape.
  16. Josie Linn #18 (Holy Family, F, 2025) : Josie is so strong and sturdy. She has a good physical side and can come out of the scrum with the puck. She has speed and can work her way around the offensive zone. She keeps her head on a swivel and has really good vision. She knows how to create and puts points on the board.
  17. katy Comstock #26 (Warroad High School, D, 2025) : Comstock is as reliable as they come. She is small but plays with a huge heart. She is a true playmaker and can handle her own against anyone. Comstock has been an intracule part of the Warroad team. She plays her position, keeps forwards to the outside lane and keeps great gap control. She is smart and very aware. Comstock is a big asset to the Warriors and will be a huge part of the team coming back.
  18. Hanna Olson #28 (Andover High School, F, 2025) : Hanna is a tough competitor who uses her body and gets involved in the play. She had a good number of points on the season, and she knows how to create chances. She has the game upstairs. She can out-work her opponents and has a high compete level. Hanna will need to step up her game even more next season, as she did this last year. She kept getting better and more confident and it showed.
  19. Taylor Kressin #30 (Moorhead High School, G, 2025) : Kressin is a reliable and sturdy goalie. She can show up in the big moments and holds her own. She has a save percentage of .93% on the year and had a 10-game shutout season. She communicates and stays aware of what’s going on around her. Agile and quick glove hand. Kressin will be a big asset for the team next season.
  20. Payton Remick #7 (Roseau High School, F, 2025) : Remick is attentive and aware. She keeps her head on a swivel and works well with her teammates. She has a great release and gets a number of chances throughout a game. She gets it to the net and fights for the rebound. She had nearly 50 points on the season and showed up in the big moments.
  21. Sophie Stramel #5 (Rosemount High School, F, 2025) : Sophie is a skilled player who has been an integral part of the Rosemount team. She can put points on the board and she can bring energy to the team. She has a high compete level and she can step up when her team needs her to. She plays to win games and helped her team get to the State Tournament this year.
  22. Masyn Mullin #21 (Holy Angels, F, 2025) : Masyn has good qualities and she can turn a bad situation into a good one. She opened the game against S. St. Paul with a goal after making a nice move to put it by the goalie. She has an aggressive side and has an offensive mind. She only got better as the year went on. She can put points on the board and brings energy to the game.  
  23. Abby Huselid #35 (Elk River-Zimmerman High School, G) : Abby is not afraid to come out and challenge the play. She cuts down the angle and gives the shooter little room to shoot at. She has made some incredible saves on the season and has given her team an edge. Abby jumps on top of it when she can and doesn’t give out many second chances.  
  24. Jane Eckstrom #18 (Proctor/ Hermantown, F, 2025) : Eckstrom is a strong and reliable player. She is a playmaker and shows up to play hard. She brings energy and momentum to each shift. A go-getter who has a gritty side. She makes good things happen and plays a selfless style game. A team player who can produce.   
  25. Macy Mueller #31 (Northfield, G, 2025) : Mueller can make some goal saving stops.  She had a number of fantastic saves against a strong BSM team, ending the game with nearly 50 SOG. She can make herself appear bigger in net. She comes out to challenge and has a nice glove hand. She will scramble and can keep the puck from going in the back of the net.
  26. Kaiya Sandy #9 (Warroad High School, F, 2025) : Kaiya is a great set up person. She has good vision and knows her way around the ice. Good net front presence, she gets her share of scoring chances and rebounds. She was second on the team in points this year and plays to win the game. Kaiya plays in all zones and isn’t afraid to be physical. A great playmaker, she helped her team fight through adversity and to another State Title.
  27. Lulu Rucinski #5 (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, D, 2025) : Lulu plays her position and gets her job done. She is a tough defender and takes great angles on the forwards forcing them to the outside lane. She can really come out ready to go. Lulu keeps great gap control and did everything she could to try and get her team to the State Tournament.
  28. Gracyn Knowles #12 (Blaine School, F, 2025) : Knowles does a good job right from the drop of the puck. She is capable and plays consistently. She has good vision for the game and can attack the puck. Knowles reads and reacts well and can make the most out of her opportunities. Needs to keep her confidence and will need to step up her game next season.
  29. Bailey Vesper #15 (South St. Paul, F, 2025) : Vesper can make really nice things happen. She creates chances and she generates offense. She can bring it from end to end and moves the puck to the open ice or player. Sometimes she’ll just throw it, so she can work on that. Overall, Vesper has an aggressive side that suits her well.
  30. Ella Pasqua #14 (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, D, 2025, Quinnipiac) : Pasqua can come out ready to go and plays a consistent game. She came up big in their final game of the season against a strong Edina team. She was able to take it and put her team on the board when they needed it. She is tough and hard to beat. Pasqua is a team player and finds a way to hit her outlets.
  31. Maya Anderson #12 (Osseo/Park Center, F, 2025) : Anderson makes some fantastic decisions and passes. She finds a way to get control of the puck and does a great job on special teams. She uses her skates to collect the puck and made some phenomenal plays in tight to the net. She creates chances.
  32. Amanda Smythe #6 (White Bear Lake, F, 2025) : Smythe is a quick player who can create chances and put pucks in the net. She moves her feet, and she goes in the direction of the puck with good vision. She positions herself well and can thread the needle to the net. She led her team in goals scored for the year. Smythe works for her opportunities.  
  33. Samantha Nistler #8 (Bemidji High School, F, 2025) : Nistler is a speedy player. She can play all over the ice and takes care of things on her end. She plays her position and is passionate. She works for her chances and is a team player. A go-getter Nistler can cause havoc for the other team and creates turnover situations. She can work on her confidence and trust her instincts to just go with it.  
  34. Lauren Pottinger #9 (Eden Prairie High School, F, 2025) : Pottinger gets after it and moves her feet. She gets open and puts her stick in a position to get control of the puck. She follows up the play and supports it. She can create chances and plays a team game.
  35. Riley Avelar #8 (Gentry Academy, D, 2025) : Riley is an absolute rugrat. She is always on top of it and always moving her feet. She shows up ready to go to work. She has a nice work ethic and makes nice crisp tape to tape passes. She gets involved and she gets her share of chances.
  36. Anika Stromme #24 (Moorhead High School, D, 2025) : Stromme has nice speed and momentum. She is an aware defender who makes smart decisions. She keeps pucks in the offensive zone and uses her outlets. Stromme gets pucks to the net and sets it up. She controls it and stays calm under pressure.
  37. Addison Seleski #36 (Hastings, D, 2025) : Addie is a strong physical player. She is a tall defender who uses her size to her advantage. She can quarterback the power play and she generates scoring chances from the blue line. She is strong on it and makes it difficult for forwards to get by her.
  38. Natalie Post #3 (Park of Cottage Grove, F, 2025) : Natalie can be a gritty player who hustles after it. She does a great job in the offensive zone and getting control of the puck. She is hard to keep an eye on in front of the net and grinds for rebounds. She gets involved in the play and creates chances.  
  39. Olivia Ohme #25 (Rogers High School, D) : Ohme puts herself in really good situations and gets involved when she can. She supports the puck and follows up the play. She creates chances and can put the puck in scoring positions. A team player who can put some points on the board as well.
  40. Lily McKenzie #20 (Champlin Park-Coon Rapids, F, 2025) : Lily can make some great tough angle shots. She has a quick release that can catch goalies off guard. She is crafty and has good hands. Lily is capable of producing and has nice moves to beat the defenders.
  41. Claire Lauer #11 (Rogers High School, F) : Lauer can move her feet and she can win the battles. A fighter and a competitor who doesn’t give up on it. She digs and does a nice job in the small ice scrums. She battles and can be relentless. Lauer is a hard-working player that can make good things happen for her team.
  42. Natalie McNeil #21 (Eden Prairie High School, D, 2025) : Natalie does a nice job on the back end and covering the opposition. She has good intuitions and reads and reacts well to the play. She will do whatever she can to keep the puck in the offensive zone. She uses her outlets and gets pucks to the net.
  43. Sydney Ries #1 (Simley, G, 2025) : Sydney can scramble and keep her cool at the same time. She comes out to challenge and takes away the angle. She will skate out of net to play it and successfully gets it to her teammates. Sydney is aware and she is nimble. Overall, she had a nice season and ended the year with a .92% save percentage.
  44. Natalie Bergman #19 (Rock Ridge, F, 2026) : Bergman can find a way to get her stick on the puck. She does a nice job in small ice areas and can be dangerous in front of the net. She protects it well and can read and react to the play. She is a top producer for her team.
  45. Cheyne Walz #13 (East Ridge High School, F, 2025) : Walz has some good instincts and can control the puck. She is a team player who utilizes her outlets. She is a nice playmaker who can set it up and makes good things happen in front of the net. She knows her next move ahead of time and has the game upstairs. A little weak on it yet so she could work on that some more going forward.
  46. Audrey McClurg #10 (Delano High School, D, 2025) : Audrey can be aggressive and she can take the puck the length of the ice. She is strong on it and does a good job defending. She gets her stick in the way of the puck and breaks up the pass. She does a nice job defending and taking the player out of the equation.
  47. Kayleigh Olson #16 (Delano High School, F, 2025) : Kayleigh can find a way to get her stick on the puck and can find the back of the net. She plays a strong game and can generate offensive chances. She uses her body and can tie up and cause turnovers. She has some things to work on as far as commanding the play and gaining a little more confidence.
