Ottawa traveled to Guelph and lost a tight 4-3 game. The game got off to a slow start with not many chances on either side but intensity picked as time went along with many chances in the 3rd period. Guelph weathered some storms in the 3rd period and took advantage of a late powerplay to secure the win. Here is a report of the best players in the game:
Regina controlled the majority of the pace in the first and second period and had more dangerous chances in both periods, however shot quantity was similar. Kamloops scored on their opportunities and their powerplay was good, along with their goaltending. the game was decided in overtime on a powerplay that Kamloops capitalized on.
Everett controlled the pace of this game, they were dominant in the first period outshooting the blades 17-4. The score was close but the shots tell the story at 39-16 in favour of the Silvertips. Saskatoon had some opportunistic goals that kept the game close, however three first period goals stood as the win for Everett.

It was a close game that remained up for grabs until the final minute, when the Regiment secured the win with an empty net goal. Penalty trouble proved costly for the Mooseheads, as extended time shorthanded shifted the momentum in the Regiment’s too often throughout the game.
